Product services
HOT-DIP GALVANIZING
Hot-dip galvanizing is a fundamental metallurgical process that occurs by immersing iron items into a bath of molten zinc. In this way, total protection is created thanks to a coating intimately bonded to the steel through a series of Fe-Zn alloy layers that fully cover and protect the product both externally and internally.
SANDBLASTING
Grit blasting is a mechanical process carried out to remove foreign elements such as mill scale, rust, and oxides from the surface of components. The coating process executed on a grit-blasted substrate ensures greater durability.
FINISHING OF GALVANIZED PRODUCTS
In some cases, processing difficulties linked to structural complexity, size, and the characteristics of the materials used in manufacturing components can result in an aesthetic finish that falls short of expectations or requirements. For this reason, Zimetal can offer—in agreement with the Clients—finishing treatments that go beyond the standard care required by regulations, ranging from the simple deburring of any drips to achieving the highest level of preparation for coating.
ANCILLARY PROCESSING
When required, custom masking systems for areas that should not be coated are designed and developed in collaboration with specialized manufacturers.
Should it be necessary to achieve enhanced protection against external atmospheric agents on joints, welds, and mating surfaces, Zimetal can perform sealing operations that limit the onset of rust and provide increased corrosion protection.
Furthermore, Zimetal has large covered spaces and suitable equipment to carry out ancillary operations such as pre-assemblies, application of lettering or labels, assembly of customer-supplied components, thread protection and cleaning, and more…
STORAGE / WAREHOUSING
Zimetal has an extensive availability of covered warehouses and storage yards which, by prior agreement, allow for the storage of goods awaiting inspection or shipment, even for extended periods.
PACKAGING
Zimetal is equipped to perform any type of packaging, including crates or cages, carried out in accordance with instructions provided by the customer.
Upon request, materials can also be individually packaged and labeled with identification barcodes.
MECHANICAL AND CHEMICAL TESTING
Dedicated areas are provided for quality control activities on processed materials and raw materials/products used during processing, with the support of appropriate mechanical and chemical testing.

DESIGN CONSULTING
Zimetal can support the Customer at both an operational and regulatory level during the design phase, guiding them in choosing the process best suited to their needs. Therefore, the relationship between the Designer, Manufacturer, Galvanizer, and Coater is crucial, as they must work together to achieve the best possible result.
TECHNICAL ANALYSIS AND SPECIFICATIONS
During the job analysis phase, ZIMETAL is capable of supporting the Customer and evaluating, within its scope of expertise, the various processing specifications required on a case-by-case basis by the Clients, verifying their actual feasibility along with the implications related to painting and galvanizing.
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE DURING TESTING / INSPECTION
ZIMETAL is equipped to assist the Customer and their Clients in managing major contracts that involve delegation visits or general inspection controls of products stored at our facility. We are also available to organize guided tours of our plants, including with the assistance of interpreters.
Our technicians, by prior agreement, can also provide assistance for testing and inspection operations to be carried out directly on-site.
CUSTOM TOOLING / CUSTOM EQUIPMENT
When necessary, special handling and hanging systems for the products are designed and engineered with the help of specialized manufacturers, ensuring our Customers greater competitiveness and superior quality in the painted finished product.
PROCESSING BOOKING / PRODUCTION SCHEDULING
Zimetal is able to offer a job booking service that can be highly beneficial when managing urgent orders.
Guaranteeing clear and reliable lead times for both processing and delivery of goods has always been considered our strongest point.
PACKING LIST
Zimetal is organized to handle container loading and shipping, including the preparation of Packing Lists managed directly by dedicated staff. We are fully equipped with loading ramps, low-rider forklifts, and cranes to enable container loading operations—including Open Top containers—for all painted or galvanized materials.
LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT
Zimetal can manage transport logistics, offering pickup and delivery of goods directly to job sites throughout Italy and Europe by utilizing well-structured logistics companies capable of guaranteeing the agreed service and lead times. Furthermore, our proximity to the Port of Genoa allows us to optimize sea freight shipments as well.
